Is training to failure good or bad

Posted by: Kyler

Hello,

I have a question concerning ways to do workouts. I have heard about working out until you can't go any further. Such as, if you do curls, and you keep doing curls, you don't stop until you have to stop because you can't lift any more, and the same thing with other workouts like the bench press, sit ups, etc... Is this a safe method to do? If so let me know ASAP. It makes sense to me that it would work, but i'm not a profesional on this stuff. Thank you for your time.

Training to failure is good when done occasionally but to do it on every set of every workout will quickly lead to burn out and over training.
