The Center for Disease Control (CDC) have recently said that just 30 minutes of exercise each day can significantly reduce your risk of disease.  There are numerous benefits that are obtained through regular exercise, like reducing your chances of getting diseases such as heart disease (the #1 killer in America).  Exercise is also great at reducing your risk for developing cancer, diabetes, and osteoporosis.  Exercise also has the benefit of making you feel really good and should be part of any serious weight loss effort.  By the way, moderate exercise has been show in some studies to give a substantial rise in your life expectancy (you might live longer).

Well, how about starting to walk a little more each day.  Take a walk after supper or take the stairs instead of the elevator.  Did you know that playing your favourite instrument can burn around 150 calories/hr?  It's true.  The key is getting your body moving.

There are so many ways to exercise and lose weight that even if you hate exercise, you can still get in enough exercise to give you health benefits.
