Arnold Terminator Workout

Come with Me if You want to Lift Arnold the Terminator built his body around volume training. He took no short cuts and when he hit the gym, he really hit it hard. Each muscle group got his full attention for sure. Each workout overwhelmed his muscles and caused them to grow. One top region was his massive chest muscles. Here is how the Terminator topped off his torso with a huge workout that give his chest huge girth. Arnold started with the bench press, a move where he was very powerful. While some top NFL players can bench press the standard 225 pound weight (2 big plates per side) for 20 or 30 reps, Arnold could do twice that rep count – impressive. Arnold would warm up with a set or two of light weight, high reps, then get into a five set sequence of 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 reps. Arnold then proceeded to the Incline Press, where he did exactly the same set and rep range, using a medium width – working sets of 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 reps. Arnold used a lot of dumbbell flyes in his training for the chest. He dropped down to four sets of this movement, with working sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 reps. The dip was a favorite for lifters of his era and he dipped for four sets of, you guessed it, 12, 10, 8, 6 reps. Arnold wrapped up his extensive chest workout with the dumbbell pullover, performed with a bent arm position for four sets of 15 reps. And that was it – think you can do the same?
