Three Foods to Avoid
Losing ab fat is just what you want if you want to look trimmer and
more muscular to boot. Some may point out that you can't spot
reduce, but for most guys, fat tends to accumulate around the middle
so when you lose fat, your midsection muscles stand out. And eating
carbohydrates tends to make you store those calories in your belly
region, so cutting out carbs helps you attack your middle. Lost the
fat and your abs look far better – it's that simple.
One of the quickest ways to lose fat and put your abs on display is
by cutting out carbs. You don't want to cut out all carbs, but by
focusing on certain types of carbs you can give your midsection
musculature a great boost.
There are three areas to target when cutting out carbs and these
include corn, wheat and sugar. Dr. Mark Hyman points out the crux of
the issue - "Quickly absorbed carbohydrates from the bulk of the
American and increasingly the world's diet – from sugar, high
fructose corn syrup and white flour, are very efficiently turned into
belly fat in the body. And that leads to obesity and diabetes."
The corn that you particularly want to cut out is corn syrup – a type
of corn that has been altered into a sweetener that is used about
everywhere. It's very bad for the body and tends to make you fat and
unhealthy. And regular corn, though not as bad as high fructose corn
syrup, is often genetically modified.
Wheat flour is wheat that has had all the fiber and vitamins removed,
and is super bad for you to eat. Arnold called it "white death" and
it does make you unhealthy. It heads right to the belly where it
adds up over time to create a spare time effect.
Almost everyone eats too much sugar, and when people do cut sugar out
of their diet, they get trim fast. That's because excess sugar in
the body gets turned into body fat and that fat finds its way to the
belly. So cutting most of the sugar out of your diet will whittle
your waist down to a decent size and let those abs appear.
