What to Drink for Fitness?

Did you know you can lose fat just by doing one simple thing, and it
doesn't require any time, effort or money. Want to know what it is?

Stop Drinking Your Calories

Fat loss programs work by reducing your total calorie intake. The
problem is that people don't like eating less and most of those plans
are gimmicky and take a lot of effort. By simply not drinking
anything high in calories, you can get this reduced-calorie benefit
with no real effort at all.

Why are high calorie drinks such a problem?

It is so much easier to drink calories than it is to eat them. A can
of coca cola has over 150 calories. So do three apples. So do three
cups of chopped carrot. If you're eating carrots and apples it's
pretty hard to overeat, whereas it's easy to down a few sodas or soft
drinks while watching TV or sitting at your desk at work, and bam,
there’s a few hundred worthless (no valuable nutrients, just sugar)
calories on top of everything else you eat in the day.

Which drinks are a problem?

All the ones with calories in them. That means you're stuck with
drinking water and tea. I realize sometimes you're going to want to
drink alcohol (which has a lot of calories as well) so just know
that it’s not doing you any good, keep it to a minimum, and make sure
you feel guilty every time you do it, because it's making you fat.

Here, is a list of bad drinks:

Soda/soft drink/cola - full of sugar and other things you don't want
in your body.

Fruit juice - sounds healthy, right? It's full of sugar, void of
fiber. Drinking fruit juice is not the same as eating fruit.

Sports drinks - also full of sugar. Unless you are an athlete with
a focus on performance, not physique, these will only make you
fatter.

Energy drinks - sure, you'll get a burst of sugar-fuelled energy,
then you'll be more tired than you were before you drank it.

Flavored milk - drink regular milk instead. "Flavored" just means
"we added loads of sugar and other bad stuff". I'll include
milkshakes here.

Alcohol - Some feel they need alcohol to be confident, but it's bad
for you, and not just because of the calories. Keep it to a minimum.

Coffee - this is the lesser evil, just don't ruin it by pouring a cup
of sugar in. That sugar doesn't disappear just because you've
dissolved it in liquid. You know that right?

One exception

Protein supplements are usually in drink form. Check to make sure it
isn't loaded with sugar, and you're good to go. Protein supplements
can actually help you lose fat, so provided the sugar content is low,
you can keep your protein shakes.

Summing up

Don't drink anything in the above list if you can help it. The less
you drink, the better you’ll be for it, and you’ll save money too.
Most people drop a few kilos very quickly just by cutting out sodas,
so cut out all your liquid carbs and replace those drinks with water
or tea. It saves money, takes zero effort, and will make you leaner
and healthier - you have no excuse not to do it.

Comments

Coffee has two calories if you drink plain black coffee like I do.
And the caffiene (thermogenic) will burn that and more calories.
Just thought you might want to update your info.
