Clean eating for 6 pack abs

Posted by: Max

Clean Up Your Eating if You Want Abs

You can train all you like however if you want to swap your party pack for a well-defined six pack then it is your diet that needs to change.

When trying to change your body in any way the key is balancing good nutrition with a suitable training regime. If your goal is to eat your body weight in "unclean" foods then reverse the calorific damage by "training it out" then you are going to be disappointed. The main way to lose body fat is to use more calories up than you ingest, essentially finding yourself in a calorie deficit. Unfortunately for the junk food lovers out there who crave bulk that is well defined as opposed to flabby, all calories are not created equal.

Clean food, otherwise known as real food is food which is wholesome and in no way processed. Processed foods are everywhere and sometimes may catch you out. When browsing the local supermarket and filling the basket with sliced meats from the delicatessen you might be surprised to find that some of the "healthy" meats you are getting ready to enjoy are indeed processed and full of nitrates. Convenience foods found in cans and packets are no better and avoiding these altogether is going to go a long way towards helping you rid your body of rubbish and achieve the look and feel that you have been working so hard for.

Awareness is key when looking at your diet and in order to avoid being caught out by hidden nasties makes sure that you read the labels on your food items. It really is as simple as that.

If you really are serious about making changes then do it properly. Avoid simple carbohydrates such as white bread and rolls and white rice and instead choose complex carbohydrates such as wholemeal foods, sweet potatoes and brown rice. It will take time to realise it however you will most likely find that you prefer the healthier foods as they will naturally increase your energy levels and your sugars will stabilise which in turn will stop those shaky lows after a workout. Overall your training routine will work significantly better if you cut the rubbish out.

It really does take effort to clean up your diet and to do it you need to be completely honest with yourself and strip down your diet to ensure that you remove the rubbish and that what you replace it with provide adequate nutrition. Using health supplements to ensure that your body gets what it needs is fine as the majority of supplements are entirely natural anyway and found in your own body.

If you really are committed then step away from the Christmas cake, don't play the mind bending game of cheating on your ab-building diet and promise yourself you'll burn it off (because you can't) and really commit to turning your regime around. With a new diet and effective exercise routine you will start to see results fast and your goal of popping abs will soon be within reach.
