Steroid user vs non steroid user

Posted by: Richard

I have been training off and on for 8 years. In my early twenties when I was in college I blasted and cruised anabolic steroids and it basically ruined my outlook on training. I gained well, and competed, had a coach and everything. Went from 170 to 235-240 in a two year span.

However I have always associated gains with using these compounds, and honestly as far as doing it naturally I feel like I haven't scratched the surface of available information. So here's an honest question:

I'm 6'1" and 185 pounds. Was about to run a massive bull cycle and decided against it because I've been off of steroids for several years. What are some tips for actual gains naturally. I know train hard and eat a lot but outside of that is there anything specific. How realistic is making decent gains naturally?

Any tips are appreciated.
