Mike Mentzer training to failure without a spotter

Posted by Brian

Hi,

I have just one question about Mike Mentzer Heavy Duty training.

What can you do if you have no training partner to take you to failure?

You don't need a training partner to take you to failure, training to failure simply means you keep doing reps until you can't anymore.

There are only a few exercises that it's not safe to do without a spotter such as bench press or squat because you can get stuck under the bar, but even with those there are solutions such as doing them with dumbbells or in a power rack.

If you have any other questions about Mike Mentzer or High Intensity Training email me and I'll get back to you with an answer as quick as I can.

Also be sure to checkout the new Mike Mentzer High Intensity Training book at https://www.trulyhuge.com/mike-mentzer-book.html

Best,

Paul
