Problems With Bench Press

Posted by: Brandon Branscome ( mbbransc@hamlet.uncg.com)

I've been working out intensely for about 8 months now. One thing that I noticed right away was that when doing benches, My arms give out before my chest does. I've still seen results in my chest but I feel like I could be doing more. I have increased my arm lifts (bi's and tri's) and have seen great results in them but they still give out first. Open to any suggestions.

Try the Pre Exhaust technique, it is used to overcome weak links. For the chest, do a hard set of flys then with no rest do the bench press (use less weight then you usually use though), you will find that your chest is failing while you arms are still strong.
