gain muscle and not lose fat

Posted by: bailey

Hi

My question is: Is it possible to gain muscle and keep fat? I want to build a bigger lower body but not lose the fat I have there.

I want to start going to the gym and achieve this but I don’t know if it is possible or where to start.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

bailey

Yes, of course this is possible.

Here are my suggestions:

1) Do weight training in the 6 to 10 rep range to help put on muscle.

2) Do not do cardio as it is for fat burning.

3) Remember that the more muscle you have on your body the more calories you burn, so you will have to increase your calorie intake as you gain muscle.

Best,

Paul
