How much weight should I lift

Posted by: waguru

I ordered the workout book recently and I have a question. How do I determine where to start with the exercises? How much weight to start with on day one? It's not mentioned in the book. I am away from weights for months. So I am wondering how many pounds to start with at the beginning?

How much weight to use is determined by the rep range, for example if the book says 1 set of 10 reps you use a weight you can use for no more then 10 reps.

But no one can tall you how much that weight is because everyone has a different strength levels.

So what you do is you do a couple of warm up sets to get a feel then put on the amount of weight you think is right.

Peace,

John
