Do rotator cuff exercises, squats, stiff leg deadlifts, shoulder breaker (very wide grip) incline bench presses and military presses. Go heavy and fast with 2-3 sets of 6-10 reps. Follow up with abdomenial workout and "clap push ups" (push up off the floor and try to clap 3-5 times before hiting the floor). Do this once a week or maybe once every two weeks if you do a lot of other training in the gym. This should help, but much of that Tyson-like KO power is genetic.

There are a number of ways to improve punching power and speed. the best i've found is to shadow box while holding light dumbbells in your hands. Practice throwing punches, combos, whatever. Guarantee after working out like this everyday for a week, you'll notice a huge difference when you go spar. [Submit a follow up message]
