Weight Gain Shakes Recipes


Weight gain drinks are without a doubt the easiest way to gain weight fast. You should be careful however that you are calculating the amount of calories that you need in order to gain weight. This will keep you in control of what stays on you and how quickly you gain weight.

The following is a list of favorite weight gain shakes recipes:

1. Lemonade Shake

1 pint vanilla ice cream, softened
1 (12 ounce) can lemon-lime soda
1/4 cup frozen lemonade concentrate
2 drops yellow food coloring (if desired)

Combine ice cream, soda and lemonade concentrate in a 1-quart container with a lid. Cover and shake until smooth. If desired, add food coloring, cover and shake again.

Makes 2 cups.

2. Banana Milk Shake

1 1/2 cups milk
2 bananas, sliced and frozen
2 teaspoons honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients in container of an electric blender; blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

3. Exotic Fruit Cocktail Shake

3 large mangoes
1/2 pound canned lychees, seeds removed
2 tablespoons raw honey
4 tablespoons lemon juice
12 large ice cubes

Slice mangoes in half. Remove the seed, and then scoop out the meat. Drain the lychees. Add all ingredients in a blender.

4. Peanut Butter Shake

4 ice cubes, crushed
1 1/4 cups nonfat milk
3 tablespoons reduced-fat smooth-style peanut butter
1 large banana, peeled and cut into large chunks
1 1/2 cups nonfat vanilla ice cream, softened

Combine crushed ice, milk, peanut butter and banana in blender. Pulse until mixture is smooth. Add ice cream. Whirl until shake is thick and creamy. Pour into 4 tall glasses. Serve immediately.

5. Papaya Shake

1 ripe papaya, peeled, seeded and cut into chunks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons raw honey
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup milk
12 ice cubes
Fresh mint leaves

Combine first 5 ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Add ice cubes; process until frothy. Garnish with mint leaves, if desired.

6. Creamsicle Milk Shake

Yield: 1 serving

2 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 scoop orange sherbet
1/3 cup milk
Splash of fresh orange juice

-Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until well combined.

The above are just a few of the many different variations that you can get or create yourself. There are many different variations that you can do and obviously it will depend on the foods that you enjoy. Be careful of calories and make sure that you know what you are drinking.
